About Me

I was worth a million dollars to my grandmother. At least that's what she told me.  I helped butcher a hog when I was twelve. I still have a scrap of quilt my mother made when she was sixteen, and I once had to explain to my elderly aunt the meaning of the word dildo.

Over the course of my life, I have worked as an actress, singer/songwriter, secretary, cocktail waitress, and finally, now, I am a writer -- for a living and for the joy of it. My first novel, Magenta Rave, was published in June 2013. My essays have been published in Skirt! Magazine, and I am currently working on a memoir.

Funny how we carry our experiences as memories and use them to define who we are. But, since this blog is about living in the now . . . NOW, the greatest joys in my life are the two loving beings who share my house -- Stu, my husband and musical partner, who cracks me up at least once a day, and our tiny white dog named Joni. They both know the meaning of unconditional love.
